Interview recordings, uploaded tapes and video, transcripts, photos, and the book itself live in private, encrypted storage that is never public. They are used for one purpose: making your family's book. We never sell them, never share them, and never use them to train anything.
We never clone, imitate, or synthesize a real person's voice — even if you ask. When you hear your storyteller, it is always the original recording.
Every call begins with who is calling, the fact that it's an AI assistant, that the call is recorded, and a spoken yes from every person on the line — every call, not just the first. Those consent records are kept so you never have to take our word for it.
We keep your recordings safe for ten years from delivery so your download link keeps working. Ask us to delete your family's material and we will, promptly and completely — except the consent records the law expects us to retain.
